Waking up energized to start the day. Spending your time on the people, pursuits & passions that light you up and matter.
Fulfilled. Free. Fully alive.
But you've gone looking in all the wrong places — in a societal script that tells you what “should” bring you joy, in a cultural blueprint promising that if you build it exactly this way, everything will fall into place.
And still, you lie awake unsure if this is the life you actually chose — or the one you were handed.
You've searched for the answer in podcasts, self-help gurus, every practice under the sun; and still, nothing quiets the ache.
There's one question you’ve never asked that gets to the root:
Lying on their deathbed, wondering what it was all truly for — wishing they'd lived their truth, worked less, or let themselves be happier.
You don't have to wait that long.
You can face your death now…while your heart is still beating and your story is still being written to find clarity on what matters, the fuel to chase your dreams, and the aliveness that gets lost in the hustle, scroll and constant search outside yourself.
Where sacred death ceremony meets ecstatic disco dance celebration.
Where every ending is a beginning, and release gives way to rebirth.
Where facing your mortality becomes the key to unlocking a life of deep meaning & magic.
Daylight turns to dusk. Candles flickering.
Palo santo in the air.
An altar adorned at the center of the circle.
Under the glittering light of a disco ball…
Voice your fears and soften the defenses we carry around death, inviting an honest reflection in accepting our finite time here.
Journey to the end of your life to reveal what truly matters, where you've been living out of alignment, and what life is all about.
In a safe and held container, share what surfaced, witnessed and held by the group.
We will pause to nourish the body with a light dinner before we circle back up.
After identifying where we are living out of alignment, we hold a ritual to let go of what no longer serves, laying to rest what's ready to die so something new can be born.
See your life through the eyes of having a second chance at life. Taking our lessons from the deathbed and seeing what's possible moving forward.
A full-bodied, freedom-soaked celebration — the wildest, most alive expression of everything we just touched.
These aren’t mental concepts that you learn today and forget tomorrow. It’s medicine that’s forever imprinted in your body…for life! This immersive journey is designed to be felt, shifting your frequency to feel the clarity, motivation and deep appreciation for life within every cell of your being.
Your mortality becomes a mirror, cutting through the conditioning and societal “should’s”; connecting you straight to the callings of your heart and soul.
When you realize there are no guarantees, the finitude of life becomes your fuel. You stop waiting for "someday" and you take the trip, launch the thing, go for the dream…while you still can.
Most common fears of failure, of rejection, of not being enough are rooted in our survival instinct to stay alive. Face the ultimate – death – and the rest lose their grip. Experience the liberation to be exactly, unapologetically you.
This is alchemy — the oldest magic there is — turning what's heavy into gold. Failures become feedback. Rejections become redirects. Obstacle become openings. Shedding what no longer serves to open space for what’s true.
When tomorrow isn't guaranteed, you see the privilege in just being here. Your breath, the sunrise, a loved one's laugh become enough. You're in awe of the mystery of it all. Abundance is everywhere.
You won't just think about your mortality, you’ll viscerally feel what it’s like to leave this world behind; melting your heart, touching your soul, rewiring every facet of your being. Forever changing the way you see life, how you treat people and how you choose to spend your precious time here.

I'm a Certified Dharma & Spiritual Life Coach, Certified Temple Guide, Certified Grief Educator trained under David Kessler, author of Love & Grief, and host of the Death & Disco podcast… but my real credential is lived.
At 30, my husband Ian was diagnosed with terminal cancer — one phone call, in the middle of a golden San Diego beach day, and everything changed.
Facing his imminent death, we learned how to fully live, packing more into fifteen months than most people fit into a lifetime.
He passed away in March 2019, and I became a 32-year-old widow, a solo mom to our one- and three-year-old.
His death was devastating. It was also a doorway — handing me piercing clarity on what matters, dissolving the fears that kept me small, and flooding me with appreciation for simply being alive.
Death became my greatest teacher.
Now, I distill the lessons from my loss into medicine for others. Because you don't need a loss to learn how to live.
HOST YOUR OWN DEATH DISCO
Not required — but this is designed for people who are curious or already exploring an inner or spiritual path and are ready to go deeper.
A journal, a water bottle, and anything you'd like to add to the altar (e.g., photos of loved ones — deceased or alive — crystals, totems, or other meaningful objects).
Comfortable clothing you can move and dance in. Options: dress in black for the death ceremony portion, then bring something colorful, sparkly, or uniquely you for the disco part of our evening. The wilder the better.
No. This is Emily's signature Death Medicine, using ceremony rooted in the practices and methodologies of the 13 Moon Mystery School. It's a powerful complement to therapy, but not a substitute for it or for medical/mental health care.
Possibly, and that's welcome. This work intentionally moves through the full range: grief and gratitude, release and celebration… because it's in our ability to hold and experience it all that we actually feel alive.
Workshop, deathbed visualization, circle integration, light dinner, rebirth journey, ecstatic disco dance party, welcome gift, and friends for life!
Full refund up to one week before the event. Inside that window, cancellations aren't refundable — catering and venue commitments are locked in by then — but true emergencies are considered case by case.
There is a parking lot behind the venue, as well as street parking.
Death is what gives meaning to life itself. The two are inextricably intertwined.
Diamonds are precious because they're rare.
Christmas is special because it comes once a year.
Life is precious because it ends.
That isn't a tragedy… it's the source of the magic, the mystery, and the meaning of it all!
Here, we dance with the existential dilemma you've never asked yourself:
You are the choreographer.
Life is your dance floor.
Meet your mortality & disco your way into the answers!
